about me…

I make art to make sense of the world around me, to navigate and process, to remember and investigate. My traditional painting work is based in photography, which I view as a sort of time loop- painting as a way of extending time and existing longer in a brief moment.

In my drawings I am using my love of scifi as a platform to explore ideas around parenting. I follow a vague narrative set in a world that is old and impenetrable, teeming with the residue of magic and ancient gods- where monsters roam in a sort of haunted scifi romanticism. There, a child wanders, discovers, and battles her way into adulthood- learning what to trust and what to be wary of. These pieces are a way of envisioning a fearless outlook for my daughter as she navigates a sometimes dangerous, but more often beautiful and strange world.

Select originals are available for purchase- if there is something you are interested in, please inquire. All work is available as prints, either as archival inkjet (Giclee) on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta paper with a matte finish, or standard inkjet on Epson Ultra Premium Matte finish paper. Delivery time is approximately 2 weeks for prints, one week for original work. Commissions are always welcome and delivery times and prices will vary depending on the work- please feel free to contact me anytime- I’m either parenting, making stuff or teaching kids that leave notes for me on the whiteboard when I’m not there.
